RAND is a system developed by systema safety for edge protection with perimeter nets. Fall protection for industrial buildings, facades, bridges and viaducts using adjustable metal arms and safety nets.
The RAND protection system is a temporary edge protection system designed in accordance with the German DGUV Information 201-023 (former BGI 807) and the DGUV Grundsatz 301-002 (former BGG 928). Based on the forces required in EN 13374 Class A, but specifically for the protection of industrial buildings with nets. Both the nets used, the connecting ropes and the tying ropes comply with EN 1263-1.
The RAND is intended for fall protection in warehouses, buildings or constructions with a slope of less than 10º. For surfaces with a greater slope, the RAND Plus system or the FLEX Class B posts should be used.
The post-to-post spans in the RAND system shall be a maximum of 10m.
The RAND system has the following components, which may vary depending on the surface to which it is to be fixed:

RAND, in accordance with German DGUV Information 201-023 (former BGI 807) and DGUV Grundsatz 301-002 (former BGG 928). Based on the forces required in UNE-EN 13374 Class A, but specifically for the protection of industrial buildings. Maximum span 10 m. Length between two posts 3.5m.
RAND, PLUS in accordance with DGUV Information 201-023 (former BGI 807) and DGUV Grundsatz 301-002 (former BGG 928). Based on the forces required in UNE-EN 13374 Class A, but specifically for the protection of industrial buildings. The RAND PLUS system complies with EN 13374 Class C, tested in an external accredited laboratory. Maximum span 7 m. Length between two posts 2.5m.
RAND MATERIALS are protection systems against falling materials, NOT people. By means of the adjustable box and arms of customised length, it is possible to create not only trays but also ‘walls’ of netting that are completely attached to the façade, thus preventing detachments and falling debris in renovation work.
In all cases, the nets used, the connecting ropes and the tying ropes comply with the UNE-EN1263-1 standard. The netting can be 100mm, 60mm or 45mm mesh and can be sewn with a mosquito net (65-80gr) or a 20/25mm mesh anti-crash net.
